Corey Taylor

“We arent hiding behind these masks, were actually revealing more to you than you might think. The mask I wear brings out all the sh*t inside me that I hate. Plus it hurts like hell, which helps my intensity. If you feel like talking, you talk, if you dont, you dont. So many people are like, Gimmick, gimmick, gimmick! F*ck you! You dont know what were about! Our motto has always been, Music First. Even if the masks and the coveralls werent there, the music would still be good.”

“We are family. And family takes care of each other,”

“They said it would never happen, we would never cross the border. And now here we are.”

“Are you ready Singapore for the chaos?”

“Id seen him on the Internet and knew he was sixth in the state, I knew his name. I went out and did my best, I guess God was on my side.”

“The first record was really just us making music and laughing a lot and having a good time in a studio in Iowa. There were no real expectations. Now that we know we have an audience, its way more crazy.”

“Ross (Robinson) is insane! Once, when we were recording here, he threw a potted plant at me. It exploded on the wall over my head and the dirt went in my mouth. It was awesome.”

“With all his greatness and accomplishments on the guitar, Dime will be missed more for his giving personality, charisma, caring for others, love and most of all his HEART!! Twice as big as the state of TEXAS!!!!!!!!!!!! Dime gave it all every day to each and every one of us and our lives have forever been hollowed without him...Thanks to all of you for reaching out to us in this time of our immeasurable loss. REST IN PEACE BROTHER DIME!!!!!!”

The future is meant for those who are willing to let go of the worst parts of the past. When you cannot take two steps without turning around to inspect your footsteps, you are getting nowhere fast.

Live your life, no matter what that life is.

Anything exceptional gets crushed by common people with jealousy and ignorance and all their common evils.

Music is not a fucking soda. It is not a fucking insurance rate. It is not a fucking T-shirt. It is the only real religion that is worth devoting your soul to. It is the last remnant of the primal scream, the funeral dirge, and the wedding march. It is the light that keeps me out of the shadows, and it is the reason my immortal soul is not in dire straits.

I am a man ruled by music- I live, die, fight and survive for it.

The mind is left bereft when it is nothing more than a tool of regurgitation.

The pale fabric of reality has so many hidden pockets that we can find some change in here somewhere - you just have to dig a little deeper to avoid the chewing gum and past mistakes.

Things can get tough out there. I am in no way saying life is easy and we should breeze through it like a fart through silk filter; we are going to take our lumps and deal with our own unique adversity. What I am saying is that in all the chaos, remember to breathe, remember to smile, and remember that the only time to panic is when there is truly no tomorrow. Fortunately for the majority of us, tomorrow will always meet us in the morning with a cup of coffee and a fresh deck of cigarettes, ready to crack its cocoon and mature into today. So ease the grip on your moralities and be yourself. Fantastic is really just the flaws. Nobody is perfect - not you, not me, not Jesus, Buddha, Jehovah, not God. But the great thing is that you do not have to be perfect to be alive, and that is what makes life absolutely perfect.

I have very diverse tastes in music, and I dont, like, make distinctions between what I cant and cant listen to. In fact, I could never understand why anybody would do that in the first place. My attitude is, I cant make music if I dont like music.

The people I respect the least are the ones that take themselves way too seriously.

Too many people chase dreams that they dont understand. Too many people try to go for things that theyd like to do, but theyre not realistic enough to know they dont have the talent.

My grandmother is a huge Hawkeyes fan, so I, by proxy, have to be one. Im more of a professional sports fan, and Ive never been a huge college fan, but because of my grandmother, Ive gotten into a lot of really good Hawkeye games. So, because Im a good grandson, Im a Hawkeye fan.
