The pony is mad. She can go from a relaxed walk to a flat out gallop in seconds if something spooks her, and she won’t stop until she practically crashes into something. I’ve seen her buck, rear and spin around in circles. She’s completely unpredictable and I don’t even trust her on the ground. As far as I’m concerned, Alec’s welcome to her, and he relishes the challenge. For some reason, he loves that pony most of all. Perhaps it’s because no-one else would give her a chance, that they’d written her off as crazy, mean, dangerous. Alec admires her independent spirit, I think, and maybe he likes that she still has that strength of spirit, that she still challenges him every time he rides her. He can’t completely dominate her, and he doesn’t try. He wants a partnership with her. And slowly, slowly, his father is taking that away from him, bullying the mare and his son at the same time, seeking to fit them into the same mould, the only one he knows. The strong succeed while the weak fall behind.

“We appreciate the concerns for adequate downtown parking. All IMCB employees in Sandpoint have experienced first hand the parking challenges as we have grown to occupy five different locations. Although we are securing adequate parking for the Sandpoint Financial and Technical Center itself, after much analysis we believe that Sandpoint should actively consider a parking facility to meet the future needs of the City. Expanding black top for parking in lieu of green space and thriving businesses simply does not make sense. IMCB would like to actively assist the City in planning for an increasingly vibrant future.”

“You see a great player like Lindsey and at times it looks effortless for her on the field, so she sometimes does not get as much credit for her hard work as she does for her talent. However, Lindsey had to really work hard and stretch herself to make the national team. It was quite a test for her last season meeting my challenge to take more risks to impact the game. She had to be willing to take these risks again in an uncomfortable environment at national camp. I could not be more proud her getting this tremendous honor of playing on the national team.”
“We have to remember that we were 12-7-2 last year, not 17-3-1. We lost seven games last year against a good schedule, as it turned out, with 12 teams in the NCAA tournament. We went 6-6 against those 12 teams, so we need to be better than that. That's the challenge before the players. We just had a good year. “Deciding to pursue watercolor painting after I retired has made a considerable difference in my life. I find it challenging (which is good for me) and fun (which is also good for me). Having lessons with Odie McReynolds and getting involved with the Ground Floor Studio painting group was a good move. We support each other and critique each other's work - we constantly learn from each other. The individuals in the group are very different with very different painting styles but we have found that we are compatible. The love of creating is a great common bond.”
