Like after a nice walk when you have seen many lovely sights you decide to go home, after a while I decided it was time to go home, let us put the cubes back in order. And it was at that moment that I came face to face with the Big Challenge: What is the way home?
“If you don't think it's a good deal you don't think you should be doing this challenge or that tough! You signed the contract you've got to participate. Do your best, be a role model. Be an emissary for the sport that you love, the passion that you love. Show other kids why boxing is a great sport, give it that positive image. And just be the man. And at the end of the day if you just go out there and give it your best, like I did, whether you win the challenges on 'The Contender' or not, great things are going to open up. I'm the proof of that. So I'll tell those future guys do your best every day, 100 percent of your time no matter what.”
The African Challenge - We must end conflict in Africa. We must lead to allow the Africans to enjoy the benefits from their natural resources. We must end poverty in Africa. Every African must be educated, have access to health care and a fair chance to fulfil their dream. Preventable sickness and disease must not reduce life expectancy or rob pregnant women of a chance to continue living. Africa must develop. Africa must not depend on foreign aid. Africa must be united and governed more effectively. Africa must customize her leadership culture and philosophy in a way that gives her global relevance and respect but still remain true and authentic to herself. Will you accept the challenge? Will you be that Africa?
Challenges not only help form a person, but allow them to experience deeper levels of themselves. Nicole lived through being abandoned by her parents only to recently come to terms with the fact that she does not want them or need them anymore, Bran lost his father to a war and suffered an injury that would have left many bitter, but for his mother's sake has done his best to remain brave and positive through it all….. Aiden, Nicole and Bran have all already faced challenges that have helped them learn who they really are and what really matters to them. They know their personal truths and that gives them the strength they need to find their connection." –Morgana le Fey/ Morgana Cornwall
“We always try to make February tougher than the month of January. We have a couple of kids who are undefeated, and my job is to make sure they're not undefeated by the time they go into the State tournament. They have to be challenged. They have to know what it's like to be down 3-2 and have to come back late.”
“Incoming players like Christina Lovejoy, Sarah Isley, Rachel Sweeney, Bethany Kiedis, and Autumn Gentry all should challenge for time in the back. It is going to be very physically demanding on this position because of the attacking role we want them to play, so having the depth at the two outside spots will be key to our success.”
“As we look for ways to address the unique and complex challenges of the 21st century, we will rely on the immense knowledge and experience of both Justice O'Connor and Ray Smith to help guide us in our work. Both are true visionaries, and I want to thank them for the contributions they will undoubtedly make to the Foundation and our beneficiaries in the years ahead.”
“When I'm out there fishing, I feel like it's me against the fish, and it's a great challenge. I feel like I'm at home when I'm out in the outdoors. I feel like God has provided me an awesome way to get closer to him through the calmness and the stillness of the outdoors.”
“There is still only Mitch and I in the business, which may be one of the classic small business mistakes we've made, ... We're turning over nearly $1 million a year with just two people. The first challenge that comes to mind is that we designed something, got it on the market and suddenly were running a tank business with momentum.”
“These guys pinned their ears back and got after it. I kind of challenged these guys before we walked out there. I said, 'Let's make a name for ourselves on defense. Our offense has just been so great over the last few years. People say this defense is not comparable, but this was a first step to disproving that.”
