“But the intent is still there and the drive is there, and we see that at home. People may not see it as much out here. They don't think he works as hard as Vijay, but he's every bit as driven as Vijay is. He just brings it here. He doesn't try to find it here, he brings it with him.”
“I can tell you I go on a lot of college campuses and I see a lot of very handsome-looking cars driven by a whole lot of athletes. I must admit it makes me wonder how are these guys driving these beautiful cars, and I don't know the answer to it.”
“[The Seven Deadly Sins requires an intensely dramatic approach.] You have to give yourself over to how passionate it is, ... Let it be lyric driven. Some singers get so concerned about the line and the voice, but with this one, you have to feel what the words are and where they're driving you.”
To be a racing driver it's essential you have very good eyesight, and that's especially relevant at night. Your senses are heightened, you're travelling over 200mph, you need to focus on that 110-metre braking point and you have to have absolute faith and commitment in your driving.
Often things happen to race cars in the heat of the race. A square-toothed gear in a transmission may break, suddenly leaving the driver without all of his gears. Or perhaps a clutch fails. Brakes go soft from overheating. Suspensions break. When faced with one of theseproblems, the poor driver crashes. The average driver gives up. The great drivers drive through the problem. They figure out a way to continue racing. Like in the Luxembourg Grand Prix in 1989, when the Irish racer Kevin Finnerty York finished the race victoriously and later revealed that he had driven the final twenty laps of the race with only two gears! To be able to possess a machine in such a way is the ultimate show of determination and awareness. It makes one realize that the physicality of our world is a boundary to us only if our will is weak; a true champion can accomplish things that a normal person would think impossible.
“People are paying higher and higher premiums on stocks, ... It's like driving down a coast highway in a convertible and people are drinking and driving faster as the fog comes in and night descends and the road is getting curvier and curvier.”

“We did some things well offensively against the Bengals, but the problem is that we didn't finish drives, ... We made plays and were moving the ball, but our drives just seemed to fizzle out.”
“The only thing that makes it a bad drive is we didn't score [a touchdown]. We didn't capitalize. It was awesome to eat up the clock and move the football, but we've got to finish drives. That will be motivation for next year.”
“I drive around in my car and listen to [the demo]. And if I drive by people I know, I have to roll the windows up and turn it down -- or if somebody calls, I have to turn it off.”
