Some days you get up and you already know that things aren't going to go well. They're the type of days when you should just give in, put your pajamas back on, make some hot chocolate and read comic books in bed with the covers up until the world looks more encouraging. Of course, they never let you do that.
I’ve had situations when I’ve actually encouraged authors to self-publish because their book was poor. Now one would conclude that I’m asking them to self-publish because their book was poor and the self-publishing warehouse is where all the poor books belong. But no, it’s because “poor” is only my opinion, and I’m just one in millions of readers.
What men and women need is encouragement. Their natural resisting powers should be strengthened, not weakened ... Instead of always harping on a man's faults, tell him of his virtues. Try to pull him out of his rut ... Hold up to him his better self, his real self that can dare and do and win out! ... People radiate what is in their minds and in their hearts.
I can share my dreams, and even encourage you along the way, but you have to have your own dreams. You have to want for something, and work towards it. Don't give up in when you feel overwhelmed, undeserving or unprepared. He has given you the gift(s) you will need. If you remember that, fear will have no place to reside.
“Our opening drive in the third quarter was a good one, ... We went to the Wishbone and we just drove the ball downfield. Sure, New Bern scored right after that, and that's really no surprise. It's not like we were playing the Sisters of the Poor. They have a great tradition. Our defense is young, but they buckled down after that last New Bern score and that's encouraging.”
“Historically, very few children have thought of entrepreneurship as a career choice. We are hoping this game will move the thought of owning their own business to the same cognitive level as other more popular career choices, ... Our children are our future, and since more than 50 percent of new jobs come from small business, it is imperative that we encourage today's children to be the entrepreneurs of tomorrow.”

“The KWCARES organization, a national organization within Keller Williams Realty (the fifth largest real estate company in North America), encourages its associates to give back to the community. We are having a Keller Williams family reunion in February, and our Cleveland housing program is being highlighted for its originality and contribution to the community. Hopefully, we have provided a blueprint for other agencies to follow.”
“First of all, I want to give long overdue respect and recognition to a world-famous, gifted, talented writer. That' s the first thing. I would also like to support and encourage current writers. And I want to create a database at that gathering so that we might come together and network and strengthen each other. And we can rally around a truly accomplished writer.”
“To seek approval is to have no resting place, no sanctuary. Like all judgment, approval encourages a constant striving. It makes us uncertain of who we are and of our true value. Approval cannot be trusted. It can be withdrawn at any time no matter what our track record has been. It is as nourishing of real growth as cotton candy. Yet many of us spend our lives pursuing it.”
